KENNINGTON WINS SECOND STRAIGHT CASCAR SUPER SERIES RACE
VERNON, B.C., Canada (July 31, 2005) -- D.J. Kennington is making up for lost time.
After a dry spell lasting better than two seasons on the CASCAR Super Series trail, Kennington won his second consecutive victory when he won the Sun Valley 300 at Sun Valley Speedway.
Kennington led a total of 50 laps in the 300-lap race, but he did not take the lead for good until just three laps remained in the event. He also won a 100-lap qualifying race the night before.
Brad Graham finished second in the main event, Don Thomson Jr. was third, Peter Gibbons took fourth and Ron Beauchamp Jr. rounded out the top five. J.R. Fitzpatrick won the second qualifying race.
Goodyear is the exclusive tire provider for CASCAR racing.
The next CASCAR Super Series race will be Aug. 6 at the Mosport Speedway oval.
