Toronto Indy in The Books Now Jacombs Racing Gears Up For Vancouver & Calgary

Hamilton, ON: Dave Jacombs and the #88 Lou's BBQ/Inroble/FAG/CPS Flooring Taurus Team are set to head west for the start of the second half of the 2004 CASCAR Super Series season. Event number six took place this past Saturday on the streets of Toronto with the #88 Taurus coming home in nineteenth while Jeff Lapcevich won his second straight Toronto Indy in the #23 Tim Horton's Chevrolet.

Jacombs practiced and qualified just outside of the top fifteen for Saturday 's prestigious event on the eleven turn temporary street course in Toronto. With just eight laps in the books in the thirty-six lap event on Saturday afternoon, the #88 Taurus lost second gear putting them slightly off the pace.

The teams are now gearing up for the long trip to British Columbia and the Vancouver Molson Indy set to take place for the CASCAR teams on Friday July 23rd and Saturday July 24th. Then it is back across the mountains to Calgary where they will put on another great show during the Mopar 500 Race Weekend July 30th and 31st. Events kick off in Calgary with the pit stop competition at the Eau Claire Market on Thursday at noon. Then it is on to the race track for time trials and the 100 lap qualifying races on Friday with the main event, the Mopar 300 on Saturday evening.
