DELAWARE, ON - Don't touch that dial. On Aug. 11 at Delaware Speedway Park, FRAM CASCAR Sportsman driver Scott Lindsay demonstrated to all that his strong, runner-up performance the week before at Autodrome St-Eustache (in Montreal, QC) was no fluke. The St. Marys, ON racer led from flag to flag in the 100 lap Sportsman Series race to earn his second 100 lap checkered flag of the season at the London area half-mile oval. With another win at his home track, Lindsay's #20 FRAM CASCAR Sportsman Series Chevrolet Monte Carlo Late Model stock car has jumped back into the thick of the overall 'Friday night' points race at Delaware - three races remain in the season. More importantly, his recent hot streak has totally erased all remnants of the team's difficult mid-season stretch. Lindsay is now on pace for a late season charge. There was a sense of dejà vu surrounding Lindsay's Aug. 11 win at Delaware as he duplicated his win in the season-opener of the three-track Sportsman series by qualifying third and then - following a roll of the dice - moving to the pole position after a three-car inversion. Lindsay held the top spot from the initial green flag and showed the way for every tour of the 100-lap event. But it didn't come easily. Overall points leaders, Ron Sheridan and Steve Robblee, both Delaware regulars as well, put some heavy pressure on Lindsay throughout. "The field's pretty tough and starting position means quite a bit," said Lindsay afterward. "We took the lead on the green flag and never really looked back. I just kind of paced myself and tried not to run the tires off of the car. We finally got everything working like it should, like it was back at the start of the season. The car is going to be really strong." As of August 11, Lindsay sits in fifth-place in the CASCAR three-track Sportsman Series points chase and is a close third overall in the Friday night Delaware rankings. The FRAM sponsored driver will be looking to keep his string of top finishes intact this weekend as the CASCAR Sportsman series heads to Ottawa's Capital City Speedway.

APPEARANCES: While the Saturday night race will be his primary focus, Lindsay is also looking forward to some other promotional activities while in the nation's capital. Lindsay will appear, along with the FRAM racing mascot, 'Ricki Racer' at Best Price Automotive, at 1300 Algoma Road in Gloucester, ON from noon until 6 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 18. The event will also feature a 'Hooters' Girls car wash, a car show, a barbecue and in-store specials. On the same night, Lindsay will be at 'Hooters' Restaurant at Bells Corners, ON from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., then back at it on the following morning with a visit to Wal-Mart at 500 Earl Grey Drive, in Kanata, ON.
