WHITLOCK WINS CASCAR RACE AT CAYUGA

HAMILTON, Ontario, Canada (Sept. 3, 2006) -- Veteran Dave Whitlock took the lead with 58 laps remaining and won the Hot Head Henry 200 race for the CASCAR Super Series at Cayuga International Speedway.

Goodyear is the exclusive tire provider for CASCAR racing and sponsors the Goodyear Belts and Hoses Fastest Lap Award. The award goes to the driver that turns the quickest lap of the race and for the Cayuga race, the winner was Peter Gibbons. Gibbons won the pole position with a qualifying lap of 21.024 seconds. His fast race lap lasted 21.843 seconds.

Whitlock edged runner-up Ron Beauchamp Jr. by less than half a second at the finish. Mark Dilley was third, followed by Gibbons and Jason Hathaway.

Whitlock averaged 61.922 mph for the race distance
