BUCK EXPERIENCES MOTOR PROBLEMS AT MOSPORT

Bowmanville, ON, Tuesday June 17, 2008: Robin Buck experienced the gamut of emotions over the two day event at Mosport International Raceway where ultimately they finished up the day with a 25th place finish after experiencing motor problems.

Buck unloaded his No. 88 Active Green & Ross/Ron's Burner Service Ford Fusion on Saturday and immediately posted the 4th quickest time in the practice. They backed that up with a 3rd quickest in the second outing but bad news followed when his motor expired during the final practice session. "The car was really handling well and it was a pleasure to drive but I felt something wrong just before the motor went," stated Buck after practice.

The team were unable to take part in the qualifying session as they did not have a spare motor. Due to a lot of hard work and dedication by the motor builder and the No. 88 crew, they were able to work the night through to fix the motor and start the Dickies 200, presented by Lucas Oil on Sunday afternoon.

The No. 88 Active Green & Ross Ford Fusion started at the tail end of the field in 28th position and after two laps had already moved up six spots. Shortly afterward things started to go wrong again as Buck could feel the motor tightening up. He attempted to stay out but after running a total of fifteen laps they were forced to pit road and their day was done.

"I am really proud of my crew," stated Buck after the race. "They all worked very hard to get this car on the track for new sponsor Mike Cira from Active Green & Ross. The car was terrific to drive and I think we could have finished up front if not for our problems today."

J. R. Fitzpatrick used some late race moves in the rain to take the lead from his teammate on his way to a Father's Day win in the Dickies 200. Following Fitzpatrick in second was No. 17 D. J. Kennington and rounding out the top three was No. 4 Don Thomson Jr.

Robin Buck and his No. 88 team are proudly supported by Active Green & Ross and Ron's Burner Service and they promote the Jennifer Ashleigh Foundation. Next up for the Buck team will be the Montreal event at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve on Saturday Aug. 1st.
