Pier-Luc Ouellette, a two-time Rotax DD2 Max Challenge World Karting champion, will be behind the wheel of the No. 18 EpiPen Chevrolet sponsored by Riobel/Complex Juste du Pin and 440 Laval Chevrolet in the NASCAR Pinty's Series 2016 season opener at the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (CTMP) road course on May 22.

Tagliani Autosport has called once again on the young rookie driver from Terrebonne, Quebec to fill in for regular driver, Alex Tagliani who will be competing for AJ Foyt Racing in two IndyCar races in Indianapolis during the month of May.

In his NASCAR Canada rookie debut last year at CTMP, Ouellette was fastest in practice prior to qualifying the EpiPen Chevrolet in ninth place. During the 51-lap race, he maintained the pace with the race leaders and crossed the finish line eighth overall.

"Tagliani Autosport is extremely pleased to have Pier-Luc available to drive the No. 18 EpiPen Chevrolet," Alex Tagliani said. "He is well suited to represent our sponsors on and off the track and will have a chance to settle some unfinished business at CTMP.

"With Pier-Luc at the wheel of EpiPen Chevrolet, I will be able to concentrate exclusively on Indy. The Indy 500 is America's greatest race, and this year marks the 100th running of the event. This is an important race date for me and to win it, you have to be in it. I earned rookie of the year at Indy, won the pole and now all I need is to make that trip to victory lane."
