Ready for action
Twenty-four cars were entered for the Can-Am 200, round 10 of the 2016 Canadian NASCAR Pinty’s Series.
Alex Tagliani
Alex Tagliani put his No. 18 Chevrolet on pole position with a time of 1:22.770 at an average speed of 106.952 m/h.
Early race battle
Tagliani led the opening 12 laps of the race. He’s seen here battling against Andrew Ranger. Tagliani led the race before losing his power steering, then subsequently being penalized by speeding on pit road. He finished six laps down in 17th.
Kevin Lacroix
Trois-Rivieres race winner Kevin Lacroix powered into the lead and led the field for two laps.
Family battle
Brothers Gary and Peter Klutt battled hard for positions out on the race track.
No room for driving errors
D.J. Kennington is seen here battling hard against Louis-Philippe Dumoulin and the rest of the field.

Gary Klutt is seen here fighting against series’ newcomer Patrick Dussault and veteran Robin Buck. Klutt also competed in the NASCAR Camping World Truck series race that same day.
Kennington and David Thorndyke
D.J. Kennington drove a strong race to claim 8th place at the finish.
A good finish for the Klutt Bros.
Gary Kultt in the No. 59 Dodge finished the race in 6th place while his brother Peter drove his No. 42 Chevrolet to 7th place.
Jason Hathaway
Jason Hathaway finished the race in 5th place in his No. 3 Chevrolet.
Patrick Dussault
Former British Formula Ford front-runner, Patrick Dussault claimed 11th place in his No. 71 Dodge.
Disappointment for J.-F. Dumoulin
The engine in Jean-François Dumoulin’s Dodge blew up after 32 laps.
Mechanical problems for Ranger
Andrew Ranger, a three-time winner at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, finished 21st due to a blown engine on lap 23.
Robin Buck in fourth place
Veteran Robin Buck finished the race in fourth place in his No. 1 Dodge.
Cayden Lapcevich
Teenager Cayden Lapcevich drove a brilliant race to claim the bottom step of the podium. With his seventh top five in 10 starts, Lapcevich extended his championship points’ lead to 30 over Ranger with two races remaining.
Louis-Philippe Dumoulin
Louis-Philippe Dumoulin, the 2014 series’ champion, led six laps and finished the race in second place, 3.871 seconds behind the race winner.
Kevin Lacroix
Kevin Lacroix seized the lead on pit road and maintained it for the final 27 laps for the fourth victory of his career and his second in the last three races.
