MT. ALBERT, ONTARIO (August 13, 2008) - Kerry Micks is on a roll right now, and is hoping to roll out of the next NASCAR Canadian Tire Series race with another victory.

The Mount Albert, Ontario resident, driver of the Beyond Digital Imaging Ford, won the recent Mosport Speedway event in the series, and said he and the Micks Motorsports Team will be ready for the Grand-Prix de Trois-Rivières August 16-17 at Trois-Rivières in Quebec, the eighth in the 13-race NASCAR Canadian Tire Series for 2008.

"The win at Mosport was terrific," stated Micks. "We have had a couple of setbacks this season, but everything went well at Mosport. We also won the Trois-Rivières race in 2007, and would like to be standing front and center on the podium again this year."

Starting fifth in the Mosport race last week, Micks battled for the lead in the final stages of the race, eventually taking the point and the win with less than two laps to go. With this win, Micks moved up to fifth in the 2008 Championship Point Standings.

In last year's Trois-Rivières event, Micks started fourth in the 28-car field, led the first 32 laps of the 41-lap contest, and then swapped paint and wrestled the lead away from Andrew Ranger on the final lap to win.

"I really worked for the win here last year," Micks added. "It was a tough victory, but when it was all over it was that much sweeter."

The Trois-Rivières race will be held this coming Sunday, starting at 3:00 p.m. on the 1.53-mile temporary road circuit. This year the race is to be 42 laps.
