TOP FIVE FOR DILLEY AT VERNON

VERNON, BC, Sunday Aug. 1, 2010: Mark Dilley driver of the No. 9 Rheem Dodge was tenth quickest in the A & W Cruisin the Dub 300 on Saturday night. Dilley bided his time and slowly moved toward the front of the pack finishing the event in fifth.

In qualifying Dilley posted the ninth quickest time getting around the half-mile tri-oval at Motoplex Speedway in a time of 18.653 averaging 96.5 mph. "We don't have the fastest car" commented Dilley, "Because we are working on getting the car set up for the race, last year there were long green flag runs so we are going to make sure we're ready for them this year."

When the green flag waved to start the Cruisin the Dub 300 presented by A & W, Dilley was on a mission and had soon moved up two positions to seventh place. After pitting early for tires and fuel Dilley was again on the move and continually picked up positions as the race went on.

On lap 124 Dilley made the pass to take over the second position, where he remained until he slid back after a restart. With older tires than most of the drivers, Dilley slipped back a few more positions; however he never fell out of the top five and would remain in fifth when the checkered flag flew to conclude the 300 lap event.

Dilley remains in seventh in the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series Point Standings.

The Cruisin the Dub 300 presented by A & W will be broadcast on TSN on Sunday August 15th at 12 a.m. (midnight) EST.

Next up for the No.9 Rheem Dodge Avenger will be the Velocity Prairie Thunder at Auto Clearing Motor Speedway in Saskatoon on Wednesday August 4th.
