CALGARY, AB - The next-to-last CASCAR Castrol Super Series West race of the season was held on Saturday night at Calgary's Race City Motorsport Park. For the first time in his Super Series career, Daryl Harr of St. Albert, AB won a feature race. The Martin Equip. / John Deere Monte Carlo driver took the lead from Don Sales with just 13 laps to go in the Calgary Versatel 200 and came across the finish line over 3.5 seconds ahead of runner-up and early race dominator Kevin Dowler in his Ford Quality Care Taurus. Skoal Inc. Chevy driver Sales held for third place, in spite of a failing clutch. The final event of the CASCAR Castrol Super Series season takes place this coming Saturday night at Sun Valley Motor Speedway in Vernon, BC. The track opened to rave reviews earlier this summer in an event which was won by eastern competitor Nik Lapcevich. Heading into the last race, Kevin Dowler holds an eight-point lead over Carl Harr. Daryl Harr sits in third place, just 22 markers back of his father, Carl.
