Lally and TRG Motorsports Ready for Coke 600

Mooresville, NC, (May 26, 2011) - Andy Lally is ready for this weekend's NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Coca-Cola 600 in the TRG Motorsports No. 71 Ford Fusion to be run at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Sunday, May 29.

The team used last weekend's Sprint All Star race to test and tune for the longest race on the NASCAR schedule, the Coke 600. Lally and the team will run the same Ford Fusion that raced in the Sprint qualifying event. Those important miles run on the 1.5-mile quad oval last week will help the team get a jump-start on qualifying as the rookie Lally will have to qualify on time.

"We learned a few positive things during the All Star race about our set-up and have tried to make an evolution of that set-up for this week," Lally said. "This is my favorite of all the tracks I have raced so far. We have a huge challenge today with 48 cars entered. It will be the biggest field that I have been a go or go homer for and we need to be fast in qualifying."

Team owner Kevin Buckler has the team moving forward and is focusing on putting a complete race together and getting a top finish.

"We are ready for the long 600 miles on Sunday night," Buckler said. "We have a full notebook from last weekend's All Star event and we have a few more tricks up our sleeve for Sunday. We really need to put a complete race together. We have been really strong in the back-half of the races since we switched over to the Ford Fusion. We will be working on getting out of the gate a little faster on Sunday night and trying to bookend the race with a good start and a strong finish. We have some great sponsor announcements that we will be making this weekend as well."
