Greg Biffle held a second Q&A session in the Atlanta Motor Speedway infield media center after qualifying was rained out for the third straight week.
DOES THIS HELP YOU OR HURT YOU MORE WITH QUALIFYING BEING RAINED OUT THREE STRAIGHT WEEKS? "I think it's pretty obvious that last week it was probably to my benefit at Martinsville with qualifying being rained out and getting to start up front. This week, six in one, half-dozen the other. The thing that probably hurts us the most, if it does make a difference, is the 48's got the first pit box again, but, other than that, who is to say that he wouldn't have qualified there and who is to say we wouldn't have made a little mistake qualifying, but I just don't think it really matters. It makes it sort of boring. It takes the excitement out of it because the 12 guys are starting right there. A lot of times we're talking about, 'Well, this guy qualified 30th and this guy starts 18th,' but, other than that, it's kind of uneventful for us and it's not really gonna affect me that much. We had a really good car. I was able to make two laps and felt really good about that car, I'm just disappointed that we didn't get a chance to try and qualify."
YOU SAID JIMMIE HAD TO BRING HIS A-GAME THE LAST FOUR RACES. IS THAT JUST TRYING TO STAY POSITIVE? "The power of positive thinking and I think I made the comment at the same time that he obviously had it at Martinsville and the last few weeks, but we certainly aren't gonna give up working as hard as we can. Anybody that wins this championship is gonna have to be on their game these last four races. Granted, he's got a 150-point lead and that's a lot to overcome. It's gonna be hard, but we're gonna do our best to cut into that lead."
DID YOU GET ENOUGH TIME TO KNOW HOW THE CAR IS GOING TO RUN? "I didn't really get an opportunity to see how it was gonna run. I know a lot of guys were in qualifying trim. I know a lot of guys sort of tip-toed because they weren't sure about the track conditions. We were in race trim for those two laps that we ran and the car was pretty decent. It was a little tight from the center out. We just came in and changed a little bit of a spring around and didn't get back out, but for that kind of speed to be in the car in race trim, granted, all the other guys probably weren't standing on the gas just as hard as they could go. We weren't either, but I ran her pretty dang good because I felt the track had a lot of grip, but I didn't get a really good idea of what it's gonna be like on lap five or 10. But I feel a lot better inside that we were close off the truck. I think I've definitely got something to work with tomorrow."
