Hampton, GA -- David Reutimann, driver of the #00 Dominos.com Toyota in the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series for Michael Waltrip Racing, was not fast enough and failed to qualify for the PEPBOYS Auto 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

The #00 Dominos.com Toyota was 25th fastest in the first practice session, and all indications pointed to another strong lap in Bud Pole qualifying. Unfortunately, the #00 Dominos.com Toyota was extremely loose on the qualifying lap -- making it hard for David to hold on too. The #00 Dominos.com team was on a role before tonight -- having qualified for eight straight NASCAR NEXTEL Cup races.

"The #00 Dominos.com Toyota wouldn't hold the bottom on the first lap -- it just walked up the track on me. It's disappointing -- Domino's Pizza has been an excellent sponsor this year and I really wanted to give them a great finish this weekend," said David Reutimann.
