Greg Biffle made it three in a row at Homestead-Miami Speedway. He dodged the hard-charging cars of Martin Truex, Jr. and Kasey Kahne on a green/white/checker finish to earn his second win of the season and 11th of his career.

"I tell you what. My Ford Fusion was something else this weekend," said Biffle. "I was nervous as can be. I was just scared to death that I wasn't going to be able to hold those guys off. I was really nervous about the 1 and being able to hold him off. But I was excited that we were able to."

Truex, Jr. grabbed his best career Cup series finish with second, "Great day and a great weekend overall. We tested well down here and had a lot of confidence coming into this weekend."

Denny Hamlin finished third in the race and third in championship standings.

"I can't say enough about our race team," said Hamlin. "They did a lot for me this season. Mike (Ford) is a deserving crew chief and I will get him one (championship) one of these days. I needed to win the race to move up (in points) and that wasn't going to happen.

Kahne and Kevin Harvick completed the top five.

Jimmie Johnson secured his first NASCAR Nextel Cup series title. The final Chase point standings have Johnson followed by Matt Kenseth, Hamlin, Kevin Harvick, Dale Earnhardt, Jr., Jeff Gordon, Jeff Burton, Kasey Kahne, Mark Martin and Kyle Busch.

Tony Stewart secured the coveted 11th place finish while Hamlin also won the Raybestos Rookie of the Year title.

There were 11 cautions for 43 laps and 15 lead changes among 10 drivers.
