Pit strategy propelled Greg Biffle to his fifth Cup win of the season. Biffle stayed out with thirty to go, when then leader Tony Stewart pitted. Biffle grabbed the lead of the event and sailed unchallenged to his eighth career victory.

Biffle started 25th, but by lap 88 he wheeled the No. 16 Roush Ford to the front of the field. Biffle and Stewart were the cars to beat Sunday as the duo swapped spots often during the 200 lap event. In the end, the decision not to pit after a caution flag on lap 167, proved to be the winning line of attack for Team 16.

"It's the hard work of everyone on this team," said Biffle. "It was my decision (not to pit) I just stayed out. It's so hard to pass here, track position like we talk about every week. I was hoping six or seven guys would stay out with us and give Tony (Stewart) something to have to burn up his tires to get back for.

"What a great day for Roush Racing."

Stewart grabbed second posting his fourth top-three this season. The No. 20 Gibbs Chevy has not been to Victory Lane since Watkins-Glen last season.

"I would have never imagined that we couldn't get back to the front with 12 lap fresher tires," said Stewart. "But it just didn't happen today. All-in- all it was a good day for the Home Depot team.I am glad we came home without a scratch."

Roush Racing had a heck of a day at Michigan with four of its drivers finishing in the top five. Future retiree Mark Martin was third.

"It's a great weekend," said Martin. "I want to thank my team for giving me such a wonderful opportunity to drive a contending car. It was a great race, another thing for my fans to cheer about."

Martin's teammates Matt Kenseth and Carl Edwards complete the top five.

"It was just a blast," Edwards said. "Everyone said they were tightening up that last run and our Triple A Ford was just so awesome all day and we were really hoping to be good on that last run but we were a little too tight. Nothing I can do about it, I am just really proud of my team.

"It's awesome to get to drive these race cars."

Jimmie Johnson continues to lead Nextel Cup points although Biffle's win has tightened the margin. Biffle now trails by just 46 points. Elliott Sadler (-250), Carl Edwards (-259), Mark Martin (-269), Tony Stewart (- 311), Ryan Newman (-317), Rusty Wallace (-325), Kurt Busch (-360) and Kevin Harvick (-370) complete the top ten.
