Chevrolet is going for its 600th all-time NASCAR Cup victory today - more than any other manufacturer in the sport.

Food City 500 marks the return of the legendary Impala nameplate to NASCAR Cup competition

Impala has 60 NASCAR Cup wins to date

Last Impala victory was December 1, 1963 by Wendell Scott at Jacksonville Speedway, the only African-American driver to ever win a NASCAR Cup race

Chevrolet has won 39 of 92 NASCAR Cup races held at Bristol Motor Speedway - more than any manufacturer

Jeff Gordon, driver of the No. 24 DuPont Impala SS, sits on the pole today for the 5th time in his Cup career.

Jeff Gordon has 5 career wins at Bristol (fall race in '02 and four consecutive spring races: '95, '96, '97, '98)
