* Kasey Kahne, driver of the No. 9 Budweiser Ford, enters Sunday's Food City 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway (BMS) after scoring back-to-back top-10 finishes at Las Vegas Motor Speedway (ninth) and Atlanta Motor Speedway (fourth). Solid results in those two races have vaulted Kahne up 16 spots in the point standings, from 33rd following the race at Auto Club Speedway to his current 17th-place position in the standings. He now sits just 35 points outside of the top 12.

* In 12 previous starts at BMS, Kahne has earned two top fives, four top-10 finishes and one pole award. His best finish at BMS in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series is second (August 2007).

* Kahne will run double duty this weekend at BMS as he is also scheduled to compete in the No. 38 NASCAR Nationwide Series entry. His one career win at BMS came in the Nationwide Series in August 2007. Kahne is scheduled to run a total of eight NNS races in 2010.

* Kahne, in association with the World Racing Group, will present the return of the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series to Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap, Tenn., on Friday, March 19 and Saturday, March 20. The two-day event, billed as "Kasey's King of Bulls Gap presented by Budweiser," will take place just down Interstate 81 from Bristol Motor Speedway, where Kahne will compete in the Food City 500 on Sunday, March 21.

For tickets or additional information on the WoO sprint car race, visit www.worldofoutlaws.com or call 704-795-7223. In addition, fans that purchase two-day tickets before Wednesday, March 17, get access to a special question-and-answer session with Kahne, a reserved seat for both nights and a free pit pass.

* Fans have the opportunity to trade paint with Kahne on March 30 when Richmond International Raceway, the Kasey Kahne Foundation and Splat Brothers Paintball team up to stage the "Racing Battle." The event will allow fans to play paintball alongside Kahne to raise money for charity. Kahne will lead a team in battle against SPEED TV personality Hermie Sadler's team. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Kasey Kahne Foundation.

Kasey Kahne discusses racing and winning at Bristol Motor Speedway:

Can you talk about the specific challenges that Bristol Motor Speedway presents? "I think just how tight it is -- how banked and fast -- it's real easy to lose speed here. The passing is difficult at times. It's one of those tracks where you have to work on the car in practice to get the car where you want it because you definitely need it to run really well during the race. Staying out of trouble - I've gotten involved in accidents running in the back and I've gotten into accidents while running in the top 10. Trouble can find you anywhere on that track so that's probably the biggest challenge when you go into a race at a place like Bristol."

With 20 laps to go, what's more important at Bristol, tires or track position? "More than likely, you'd want the track position. Until we get some practice in, it will be tough to tell what we'll be doing during pit stops. But I know at times, you can put on tires if there are 40 laps to go and definitely pass a lot of cars and other times you just stay in your spot. It will be something that we'll have to figure out as the weekend goes."

What's it like to win a race at Bristol? "There's nothing like it. Any time you win a race at Bristol, it's special because that place is so tough. But when you win, you get to drive into Victory Lane up on top of a building and you've got all the fans all around you...it's just really special. I've been able to do that in a Nationwide race (August 2007) and it was pretty special. But I haven't done it in a Cup race yet and that would be even more special. I'd really like to be able to be on top of that building celebrating on Saturday and Sunday. I feel like we're ready to win a Cup race at Bristol. I really like racing there and I feel like I've got a good feel for the track now. It would be something else if we could go in there and win both races. That would be a great, great weekend."
