SCOTT RIGGS QUOTES:
"We have dug ourselves in a hole here early on in the season. It's not from a lack of effort on anyone's part. Everyone on this Valvoline Evernham Racing team has done a good job. We have had some tough breaks but no one has lost their confidence. We believe we could go to Bristol this weekend and win the race. But the main goal we have is to stay focused and get a top finish."
"The COT brings a lot of unknowns to the race this weekend. But our team strengths are engineering expertise, technology, and a team approach to problem solving. The COT will be a clean slate for all teams and I think that is an opportunity for our skills to shine."
QUICK FACTS:
* In the fall race at Bristol Motor Speedway last year Scott Riggs qualified 23rd and finished an impressive fourth. Marking his best finish at the half-mile concrete oval.
* Riggs has one top-five and two top-10 finishes in six Nextel Cup career starts at Bristol Motor Speedway.
* Riggs posted the second fastest time on the final day of at the Car of Tomorrow testing at Bristol. His fastest lap was 15.940 sec. at 120.376 mph.
