Buckshot Jones Track Notes Milwaukee Mile

"I enjoy competing in Milwaukee. It's a big track, but not a hard track to drive. I always like going to there for a lot of reasons. It holds a lot of personal history for me because it is where my racing career really started to take off. I have won races in other divisions, but they don't compare to the win at Milwaukee. To win a Busch Series race feels great, but to win at the track where you made your debut makes it that much better." -- Buckshot Jones, Driver No.00 Cheez-It Pontiac NASCAR Busch Series Results - Milwaukee Mile

The Milwaukee Mile is the site of notable career firsts for Buckshot Jones. In 1995, Jones made his Busch Series debut at the track with his first win coming one year later at The Mile. This weekend, Jones is ready to perform another career first...he will attempt to race in the Pepsi 400 on Saturday, July 3, at Daytona International Speedway and the Diehard 250 in Milwaukee on Sunday, July 4. "I will fly directly from Daytona to Milwaukee after the race. I've never raced in two cities in two days before, so it will be a first." - Buckshot Jones * Milwaukee Mile History Despite starting only four of the eight Busch Series races held at the Milwaukee Mile, Jones has earned a place in the track's history books. Aside from being one of eight past winners, he is also tied for second in races led (2), times led (5), top fives (2) and top 10's (3). Jones is also 19th at the speedway in laps completed (934), eighth among active Busch Series drivers in laps led (60) and fifth in all time money winnings ($63,750).
