BUSCH: Harvick's Big Adventure

Kevin Harvick's quest to run both the NASCAR Busch and Winston Cup races at Kentucky Speedway and Pocono Raceway on Saturday and Sunday of this weekend had a little intervention from Mother Nature. Rain at Kentucky Speedway caused qualifying to be postponed until Saturday. Harvick's Big Adventure schedule will adjust accordingly.

Kevin Harvick's Friday activities looked like this:

<pre> 8:00 am Harvick heads to the Winston Cup garage from his motorhome at Pocono. 11:30am-2:00pm Winston Cup practice at Pocono. 3:00 pm Winston Cup Qualifying. Harvick qualified 19th in his first ever start at Pocono. 3:30 pm Helicopter ride to Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Airport. 4:30 pm Touch down at private Cincinnati Airport just before thunderstorms. 4:35 pm Drive to Kentucky Speedway because thunderstorms prevent helicopter from flying safely. 5:35 pm Arrive at Kentucky Speedway while there is a heavy downpour. 7:00 pm NASCAR Busch Qualifying is delayed while jet dryers attempt to dry the track. 8:00 pm Rain begins again and NASCAR decides to postpone qualifying until 12 noon on Saturday. 8:15 pm Harvick jumps on a helicopter for Cincinnati Northern Kentucky Airport as the skies clear. 8:30 pm Arrives at Airport, boards a Lear jet to Pocono. 8:40 pm Wheels up on Lear jet. 9:45 pm Touch down at Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Airport. 10:10 pm Arrives by helicopter at Pocono, in bed in his motorhome 30 minutes later.

Harvick will practice the No. 29 Goodwrench car on Saturday morning at Pocono 9-9:45 am.

He will then head back to Kentucky for 12 pm qualifying.
