FORD CHAMPIONSHIP WEEKEND READY TO DEBUT THIS WEEKEND         For the first time in NASCAR history, all three major divisions will be ending their seasons during the inaugural Ford Championship Weekend at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series champion will be determined in Friday's Ford 200 between points leader Mike Bliss and Rick Crawford, who trails by only 32 points.  The Ford 300 NASCAR Busch Series race on Saturday will feature newly-crowned champion Greg Biffle while Sunday's Ford 400 will determine whether Tony Stewart or Mark Martin takes home top driving honors.

Ford has already clinched three of the six major championships and remains in the hunt for two more this weekend.  Following are some notes regarding Ford's 2002 season in all three series:

* Ford has already clinched three of the six major championships available this weekend and has an opportunity for two more if Rick Crawford and Mark Martin can overcome their respective point deficits.

* For the first time in its history, Ford has won the manufacturer's championship in the NASCAR Winston Cup and NASCAR Busch Series in the same season.

* Greg Biffle became the first Ford driver to ever win the NASCAR Busch Series championship when he clinched last weekend at Phoenix.

* Ford's Mark Martin trails Tony Stewart by 89 points for the NWC championship.

* Ford's Rick Crawford trails Mike Bliss by 32 points for the NCTS championship.

* Ford leads the NASCAR Winston Cup Series with 13 wins and the NASCAR Busch Series with 16 victories.  Matt Kenseth is first with five NWC victories while Jeff Burton is tops with five NBS wins.

* Ford is still looking for its first NWC win at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

* Ford driver Dale Jarrett won the first NBS event at Homestead-Miami Speedway in 1995.

* Rick Crawford's first and only NCTS win came at Homestead-Miami Speedway in 1998.

* The last time a driver leading the points race going into the final race DID NOT win the NWC championship was 1992 when Ford driver Alan Kulwicki overcame a 30-point deficit to Davey Allison.

* The last time a driver leading the points race going into the final race DID NOT win the NCTS championship was 1999 when Jack Sprague erased a 21-point deficit to edge Greg Biffle by eight points.
