Notes: Both the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series and Busch Series will compete on the same tire codes this weekend at Kansas . . . this will be the first time these teams will run this particular combination of left- and right-side tires at Kansas, though Nextel Cup teams have run them eight times already this season . . . in addition to Kansas, Nextel Cup teams will run this same combination at California, Charlotte, Dover, Michigan, Chicago in 2004 . . . teams are required to run inner liners in all four tire positions at Kansas . . . the air pressure in the inner liners must be 12-25 psi greater than that of the outer tire.
