Knights Inn Hotels to sponsor Kerry Earnhardt in NASCAR events.

PARSIPPANY, N.J., Feb. 19 -- The Knights Inn hotel chain today announced it will sponsor driver Kerry Earnhardt in the 2003 NASCAR Busch Series and select NASCAR Winston Cup Series races in 2003.

As associate sponsor, the chain will have its logo featured on the #12 Chevrolet Monte Carlo of FitzBradshaw Racing that Earnhardt will drive in the Busch Series and on the #83 Chevy in which he will make his Winston Cup Series debut.

"This partnership provides Knights Inn hotels with wide exposure in a sport that has millions of loyal fans and spectators," said Knights Inn President Anthony Falor.

FitzBradshaw Racing is owned by NFL Hall of Fame member Terry Bradshaw and NASCAR veteran Armando Fitz. Bradshaw, who will be the voice on Knights Inn radio spots in 2003 said, "Knights Inn is a great addition to this team. This is our second year and, as Kerry and the team continue to improve, having sponsor support is vital to the completion of a competitive race team."

There are 211 Knights Inn budget hotels in the United States and Canada. All Knights Inn hotels are independently owned and operated under franchise agreements with Knights Franchise Systems Inc. Reservations can be made by calling the Knights Inn toll-free reservation center at (800) THE KNIGHTS(R) or through the company's Web site at www.knightsinn.com. Knights Franchise Systems is a subsidiary of Cendant Corporation (NYSE:CD).
