Kevin Harvick, driver of the Richard Childress Racing No. 29, better learn to control his temper. After sitting out Sunday's Virginia 500 at Martinsville, NASCAR followed up his punishment with a $35,000 fine and extended his probation until December 31st.

Harvick's troubles began while running in the Busch Series race at Bristol earlier this year. He was wrecked by longtime rival Greg Biffle while racing for position. Following the race, Harvick jumped over a car, grabbed Biffle's uniform and heatedly argued his case. No punches were thrown. However, he was placed on probation until August 28th and fined $15,000.

His most recent exchange came in Saturday's Advance Auto Parts 250, a Craftsman Truck Series event. Harvick was racing Joe Gibbs Racing driver Coy Gibbs, when Gibbs got into the back of Harvick's No. 6 Dodge. Later in the race, Harvick retaliated on the No. 20 and spun out Gibbs.

NASCAR immediately parked Harvick and carried the "parking" over to Sunday's Winston Cup race. Kenny Wallace took over behind the wheel of the 29 Chevy.

If Harvick has any further incidents that are "detrimental to the sport," or any physical confrontations, as with Biffle, he will be suspended indefinitely.
