Whether it be "typical Bristol," or short tempered drivers, NASCAR won't tolerate post race actions stemming from incidents that took place on track.
On Monday, NASCAR handed out penalties to Kevin Harvick, Robby Gordon, and Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Kevin Harvick was penalized $15,000. and placed on probation until August 28th relating to his post race actions involving Greg Biffle.
With less than 10 laps to go in the Channellock 250 Busch Series race, Biffle, in his No. 60 Grainger Ford, spun Cup regular Harvick, driver of the No. 29 Chevy, hard in to the wall.
Following the race, Harvick jumped over the wall and grabbed Biffle's uniform, and heatedly informed him he didn't appreciate the incident.
Robby Gordon, driver of the No. 31 Cingular Wireless Chevy, was also fined $10,000 and placed on probation until Aug. 28.
Following the Food City 500 race on Sunday, Gordon turned Dale Earnhardt Jr. around on pit road.
Gordon's hit, as he admits, was intentional; "he tried to run me into pit wall, so I hit him back."
Earnhardt Jr, driver of the No. 8 Budweiser Chevy, was fined $5,000. for roughing it up with Gordon, which led to Gordon's retaliation.
