"I'm looking forward to this weekend. The last couple weeks have been kind of a dream. We've been knocking on the door and been meeting with people for the last year and a half to try to get into NASCAR, and last weekend at Montreal was a great start.
"I'm hoping this weekend at Watkins Glen we'll get a little bit of the same. But I'm even more excited I'm going to do both the Busch race, and the NASCAR Nextel Cup race in the No. 10 Valvoline/Stanley Tools Dodge with Gillett Evernham Motorsports."
QUICK FACTS:
* Patrick Carpentier will sub for Scott Riggs at Watkins Glen as driver of the No. 10 Valvoline/Stanley Tools Dodge.
* Carpentier made his first NASCAR start in the Busch race at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, he won the pole for the race and led 13 laps in route to a second-place finish.
* Carpentier has competed in CART, IRL, CASCAR, and Grand-Am series with much success.
* Valvoline Evernham Racing currently sits in 38h position in Nextel Cup owner's points 134 markers out of the top 35, therefore the team will need to qualify for this weekend's race on time.
