Practice from California

Due to the track being new, the drivers are getting some extra test sessions at California. There are going to be two more sessions besides this one and we will give you as much coverage as possible. Here is some practice info.

Morning practice has Ted Musgrave the fastest car on the track, just slightly over 180 mph. Others fast (in order) are Bill Elliott, Jeff Gordon, Mark Martin, Joe Nemechek, Bobby Labonte, Dave Marcis (has alot of laps in an IROC car here), Ernie Irvan, Michael Waltrip, and Rusty Wallace.

Those running mid-pack are Dale Earnhardt, Terry Labonte, Bobby Hamilton, Johnny Benson, Darrell Waltrip, Jeff Green isn't too bad, Kenny Schrader.

Struggling are Jeff Burton, Ricky Rudd, Brett Bodine, Kenny Wallace, Derrick Cope, and Dale Jarrett.
