Target Team Facts:

Kraft: The Kraft logo will replace the Target bullseyes on the rear quarter panels of the No. 41 Dodge this weekend at Chicagoland Speedway. This is the first year Kraft has partnered with Target to be a season-long associate sponsor of the No. 41 Dodge. Kraft Foods' worldwide headquarters are located in Northfield, Ill., just 50 miles north of Joliet.

Chicagoland: Mears has two starts in the "windy city" in his NEXTEL Cup career. He piloted the Target Dodge to a 15th-place finish in last year's event. A piece of paper lodged itself in the grill of the No. 41 Dodge last year, forcing Mears down pit road under green-flag conditions. He and the Target team battled back from one-lap down to earn the 15th-place spot.

Chassis: Crew chief Jimmy Elledge and the Target team are extremely optimistic about this weekend's event at Chicagoland. They are bringing chassis #206 to compete in the USG Sheetrock 400. Mears drove this chassis at Michigan, and despite falling a lap down due to pit stop problems, ran with the top three cars most of the day.

Standings: Casey Mears and the Target team slipped three spots in the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup standings after a disappointing 43rd-place finish last Saturday at Daytona International Speedway. The Target Dodge was involved in a multi-car incident on lap 35 of the race that forced the car into the garage for the night.

Casey Mears Quote:

On Chicagoland...

"We should be really fast this weekend," said Mears. "I've run consistently well at Chicagoland in the Target Dodge, it is one of this team's better tracks. I have a lot of confidence going in because I think the car we are taking is one of the best cars I've ever raced. This is the same car that I drove at Michigan and I couldn't believe how well it handled and how fast it was."

"After last weekend, I'm really looking forward to going to Chicago. This is a race where we control the outcome. The next six races should be good for this team, and if we want to get into the top 15 in points it will come in July and August."
