Menard Ready for Continued Success at Chicagoland

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (July 9, 2008) -- After Paul Menard's whirlwind weekend at Daytona International Speedway, where he won his first career pole aware and finished a respectable 15th place in the race, the driver of the No. 15 Quaker State/Menards Chevrolet turns his attention to his favorite type of race track.

"I have always liked racing at the mile and half tracks," Menard said. "It just suits my driving style, I guess. It helps that this team has consistently built really good intermediate track cars to bring to places like Chicagoland Speedway. That makes my job a lot easier!"

Menard will race chassis #056 in this weekend's LifeLock.com "400". This car was last raced at Michigan International Speedway, where Menard turned in a season best 11th place finish.

Crew chief Doug Randolph is looking forward to having this particular car back on track again, as it was well regarded by the entire team during last month's Michigan race.

"This is probably one of our best cars," Randolph said. "We had to go to the back after changing a motor at Michigan, but once the green flag dropped this car was like a rocket ship headed to the front of the field. I think we'll be looking for a top-10 qualifying effort to back up last week's success and for the race, we'll be looking for a top-10 finish, to round out the weekend."

Menard will have Quaker State on the hood of his Chevrolet for the third time this season. Quaker State has been a partner sponsor to the Menards Racing program since 2003.
