Harvick Crew Grabs Pit Crew Challenge Win at Chicago
No. 29 crew earns second Checkers/Rally's Double Drive-Thru Challenge victory
Kevin Harvick's over-the-wall crew grabbed the Checkers/Rally's Double Drive-Thru Challenge win during Sunday's NASCAR NEXTEL Cup race at Chicagoland Speedway.
On its way to a fourth-place finish, the No. 29 team spent 185.512 seconds on pit road during the USG Sheetrock 400. The crew will be awarded $11,000 by Checkers/Rally's for winning the weekly competition.
"It was a great job in the pits for the No. 29 Shell-Pennzoil team in Chicago," said Harvick. "Our team has been together so long and they just keep getting stronger every year. We made a lot of changes to the car during the race on pit road and my crew guys were able to help me gain spots in the pits."
The No. 29 team consists of: Nick Terry (jackman), Josh Mick (front-tire carrier), Jason Pulver (front-tire changer), Matt Krueter (rear-tire carrier), Clint Pittman (rear-tire changer), Brian Englehart (gasman), Scott Naset (catch can), Rick Tulbert (2nd gas can) and Gene Pasquale (eighth-man). The team is led by crew chief Todd Berrier and the pit crew coach is Corrine Mauldin.
Following the 19th race of the season, Mark Martin's/Regan Smith's No. 01 crew leads the season-long Checkers/Rally's Double Drive-Thru Challenge standings with four wins. Jeff Gordon's and Denny Hamlin's crews are second with three wins each. An $111,150 prize will be presented to the pit crew team with the most wins at the completion of the 36-race Nextel Cup schedule.
To win the Checkers/Rally's Double Drive-Thru Challenge, teams are required to finish on the lead lap while spending the least amount of time on pit road. Checkers/Rally's is in its third season as title sponsor for the Pit Crew Challenge.

Paul Menard's over-the-wall crew won its second Checkers/Rally's Double Drive-Thru Challenge win of the season in Saturday's Busch Series event at Chicagoland Speedway. The team spent 121.619 seconds on pit road.
Truck Series Result -- Kentucky Speedway
The No. 1 team of David Green earned its first Checkers/Rally's Double Drive-Thru Challenge win of the season in Saturday's Craftsman Truck Series event at Kentucky Speedway. The team spent 89.709 seconds on pit road.
