Martin Truex Jr. and No. 1 Bass Pro Shops®/Tracker Boats Team

Truex, "Too Tough to Tame": Truex has a total of three NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) starts at the track labeled "Too Tough to Tame." While his starting position hasn't always been his strong suit, Truex has finished in the top-15 for all three NSCS starts. His best results at the track came during his time in the Nationwide Series. He has one pole award and three top-five finishes in three NASCAR Nationwide Series starts.

Last Weekend: Martin Truex Jr. and the No. 1 Bass Pro Shops team started fourth and ran in the top-15 for 307 of 400 laps with an average running position of 10th this past weekend at Richmond International Raceway. It was the team's second consecutive top-five starting spot. Truex also led 22 laps and for the second week in a row he gained five bonus points. A late-race incident caused a significant amount of damage to the right front fender. The team was able to stay on the lead lap and ended up posting a 22nd place finish.

In the Points: The 22nd place finish at Richmond moved Truex and the No. 1 Bass Pro Shops Team up two places to 21st in the NSCS Championship standings, 198 points out of 12th -- the cutoff for the Chase.

Sprint All-Star Race: Voting has started for the 2009 Sprint All-Star Race at Lowe's Motor Speedway and Martin Truex Jr. wants your vote! Juan Pablo Montoya and No. 42 Target Team

Darlington History: Montoya will be making his third-career start at Darlington Raceway this weekend. Montoya took the checkered flag in 23rd-position in his two previous starts at the track dubbed "Too Tough to Tame."

Last weekend: Juan Pablo Montoya and the Target team had an impressive weekend at Richmond International Raceway. Montoya qualified for the 400-lap event in 29th and then drove a solid race to finish 10th. This was his best finish at the ¾-mile short track and third top-10 of the season.

In the Points: The third top-10 finish of the season for the Target team moved Montoya up to 14th in the NSCS Championship Standings, 35 points out of 12th--the cutoff for the Chase and 289 points behind leader Jeff Gordon.
