Bobby Labonte:
"Finishing in the top-10 at New Hampshire was great for everyone on this No. 43 Cheerios/Betty Crocker Dodge team. It was a good weekend overall. We qualified up front and we were able to stay up there. That's two weeks in a row that we have qualified in the top-5 and had good racecars. In a lot of cases, qualifying can be the spark that you need to gain some momentum. When you put yourself up front, you put yourself in position for wins. Hopefully those are right around the corner."
"I think a lot of us were looking to come back to Daytona as soon as we left in February. We had a solid two weeks down there and we're looking to better it this time. We finished sixth in our qualifying race and 11th in the Daytona 500, which we were happy with considering it was the first Daytona race with the new chassis. No one really knew what to expect in that first race because Daytona is more of a handling track than people give it credit for. Now that we have a race under our belt we have a grasp on what setup we need and we'll be looking to keep the Cheerios/Betty Crocker Dodge up front."
"I've always liked the tradition of going to Daytona for the 4th of July weekend. It was the same way with Darlington on Labor Day. You know that when the 4th rolls around, you head to Florida for a 400-mile race. It's a great time to take your family with you to the race because they can enjoy the beach. It's a Saturday night race so you are able to get a day off before going to Chicago. I just look forward to it. This year will be even more special because Coke Zero is the title sponsor. I'm a Coca-Cola Racing Family driver so it would mean a lot to win this race."
* At Daytona Labonte has garnered five top-5s and eight top-10s.
* His highest finish at the track is second, which came in both races in 1998.
* The driver's most recent top-10 finish at DIS is seventh, which he scored in 2004.
* Labonte has scored two poles at Daytona. He has been a top-10 qualifier a total of seven times. The last time he started from within the top-10 was in 2006.
* In 31 starts at DIS, Labonte has completed 4,811 of 5,474 laps (87.9%) including 67 laps led. Labonte's average start at the track is 18.3 and average finish is 22.8.
* Labonte's 10th-place finish at NHMS last weekend was his first top-10 of the season and moved him up two positions in the points standings.
