MAC TOOLS AND KALITTA GO TO NASCAR

Ypsilanti, MI, March 17, 2002 Mac Tools in conjunction with the Bristol Motor Speedway is bringing the excitement and the earth-shattering rumble of the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series to NASCAR Winston Cup fans.

NASCAR fans who attend the Food City 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway March 23 in Bristol, Tennessee will have a unique opportunity to see and hear the power of an NHRA nitro-fueled top fuel dragster. Doug Kalitta, driver of the Mac Tools/ Kalitta Motorsports dragster will crank his race car and take a few steps on the throttle at the start/finish line of the famed oval racetrack before the start of the Food City 500.

"Our Mac Tools dragster generates over 6000 horsepower and I am sure that NASCAR fans can appreciate that amount of power and hopefully come out to watch us race in Bristol next month. I only wish I could see if our Mac Tools dragster could make the high-banked turns of the Bristol Motor Speedway, but our race car was built to only go straight," said Doug Kalitta.

Kalitta and the rest of the competitors of the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series attack the track at Bristol Dragway April 26 - 28, for the 2nd Annual Mac ToolsTM Thunder Valley NHRA Nationals.

All 500 cubic inches of the Mac Tools dragster's engine will roar to life approximately 20 minutes before the flag goes green in the Food City 500.
