Dover II: David Reutimann qualifying report

The #00 Dominos.com Toyota to Roll-Off 13th from the Monster Mile

Dover, DE -- David Reutimann, driver of the #00 Dominos.com Toyota in the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series for Michael Waltrip Racing, qualified 13th today for Sunday's Dodge Dealers 400 at the Monster Mile -- Dover International Speedway.

The #00 Dominos.com was 23rd fastest in the first practice session, and third of the teams that would had to qualify their way into the race. The #00 Dominos.com Toyota team only made small changes before Bud Pole qualifying, and was optimistic on making the field for Sunday's race.

"The #00 Dominos.com Toyota was pretty good in practice. We kept making adjustments trying to get it to turn better, but other than that the team was confident that David could put down a solid lap," said Frank Kerr, Crew Chief of the #00 Dominos.com Toyota.

David Reutimann did exactly that in the Dominos.com Toyota, by posting the 13th fastest time in Bud Pole qualifying this afternoon at Dover International Speedway.

"This is the same car we ran at Richmond to a 13th place finish, so I knew that it was fast enough to get in the field. Being fast enough, and getting the job done are totally different sometimes, but that was not the case today. I'm proud of the lap, and now we can shift our focus on getting the car race ready," said David Reutimann.
