A Loose #00 Dominos.com Toyota Finishes 18th at Dover
Dover, DE -- David Reutimann, driver of the #00 Dominos.com Toyota in the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series for Michael Waltrip Racing, finished 18th today in the Dodge Dealers 400 from Dover International Speedway.
David started 13th in the #00 Dominos.com Toyota, which brought high expectations that the team could improve on their season best finish of 13th place at Richmond a few weeks ago.
Unfortunately, the #00 Dominos.com team could never get the car handling to David's liking, as the #00 Dominos.com Toyota was extremely loose early and really tight late -- making it tough for David Reutimann to hold onto throughout the race.
"We could never get the #00 Dominos.com Toyota handling the way we would have wanted. I think Frank (Kerr) and the guys made almost every adjustment you can. It was loose one run and then tight the next -- it just would not handle in the corners," said David Reutimann.
"Overall, it's an ok finish. I really thought we had a good chance of finishing in the top-10, but it didn't happen. More than anything I think we outlasted a majority of teams because of accidents. I'm still proud of the #00 Dominos.com team -- they continue to work hard and deserve finishes in the top-10," said David of the finish.
