Ragan on racing at Auto Club Speedway:
"We had a good run in Daytona and I'm looking forward to getting out to California. It's been a good track for me in the past, and is a place where the Roush cars always seem to run well at and be competitive. It's a wide track with lots of opportunities to pass if you've got a good handling race car. I've got a lot of confidence in Donnie and my team, and I think we'll be really competitive this weekend."
Crew chief Donnie Wingo on racing at Auto Club Speedway:
"We had a really good car in Daytona and just didn't get the finish we deserved, but that's just how restrictor plate racing goes. This weekend in California tires are going to be an issue. The track is getting to be like the old Darlington surface in that the tires lose grip pretty fast throughout the runs. California is a good place to race the top, bottom and middle, but is a challenge to get your car to run good for the whole time."
* Auto Club Speedway is David's best finishing track. He has an average finish of 13.2 and average starting position of 27.
* In his six starts at Auto Club Speedway Ragan has completed 1,499 of 1,500 laps, falling short only one lap, for a total of 99.9 percent laps completed.
* Roush Fenway Racing has won the last five Auto Club 500 races. Kenseth, Edwards and Biffle have all contributed to the five wins. Could this be Ragan's turn?
* UPS Maximum Center Recognition--Auto Club Speedway The Beach Center (SLIC - 9024) in the South California District was selected as the Maximum Center for the February 21 Auto Club 500 at the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, California. The center is recognized for their achievements on the district's Balanced Scorecard in 2009. Of the total 19 elements measured, 10 were 100 percent effective. The center is committed to creating an environment where employees work safe by choice.
