David Reutimann Qualifies 33rd in California
David Reutimann, driver of the #00 Domino's Pizza Toyota in the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series for Michael Waltrip Racing, qualified 33rd for the Auto Club 500 at California Speedway. David posted the seventh fastest time of the non-point teams at 182.43 mph, which was good enough to put the #00 Domino's Pizza Toyota in the field on Sunday. Unfortunately, David's speed knocked his teammate and car owner Michael Waltrip out of the field of 43 for Sunday.
"I'm happy for my team and sponsors, but it's a tough way to get in -- knocking Michael (Waltrip) out. Michael put me in the #00 Domino's Pizza Toyota to drive fast, and sometimes it comes down to these types of situations. So, I know he understands," said Reutimann.
