Good Friday NASCAR Fans.
News out of Bristol
If your headed to the race today, this note. Make sure you leave early. Last year it was a disaster. There was an accident and many people didn't get there until half way. If you've never been to Bristol it is a congested area, in a small town.
These Bristol Rumors from a local (to Bristol) NASCARFan. After the race this weekend, the Start/Finish side wall will be removed and the track will be widened there to allow for more passing. At least one more lane will be added. Bruton Smith says that if Va. would finish their side of the beltway(Rt.394 to Int.81), he would expand seating to 150,000 people. FACT!! People coming to the race without lodging should expect to stay at least two hours away. This does not include race traffic tie-ups within 20 miles of Bristol.
