Step up for Truex possible: Word is the No. 1 DEI Chevy team has sealed an 8-12 race sponsorship for this season running some races with John Andretti, the road course events with Ron Fellows, and a handful of races with Busch series star Martin Truex, Jr.
Primary sponsorship has been sewed up for the No. 1 car to race a full season in 2005. Federal Express, DHL and Cherry Coke are the most tossed around candidates to become primary sponsor for the 1 team.
Purvis ready to race: Jeff Purvis who was seriously injured at Nazareth two years ago will race at the Nazareth race tomorrow in the James Finch No. 1 car.
Good Odds for Gordon: Jeff Gordon, picked by Lowe's Motor Speedway President Humpy Wheeler to win the All-Star event, must be glad to hear it.
The three times Gordon has been victorious in the All-Star race; he has gone on to be crowned Cup series champion.
Earnhardt to race Corvette: Dale Earnhardt, Jr. with teammate Boris Said will race a Corvette for Corvette Racing at The Infineon Grand Prix of Sonoma on July 18th in the American Le Mans Series.
Said and Earnhardt, under the tutelage of veteran road racer Ron Fellows recently tested at Michigan's GingerMan Raceway.
The race will be aired live on CBS.
