Talladega Hangover: Driver's are still trying to recover from a wild weekend in Talladega. The cars looked more banged up than Martinsville, but drivers agreed it was a wild, fun event.

"I've never been hit so hard in my life," said Jamie McMurray of the race at Talladega. "I hit everything in site and I didn't even mean too."

Word is many drivers were running steel enforced rods under the bumpers to give them the ability to hit harder. Suspicions brew that there is more going on under the bumpers than just steel rods, NASCAR inspectors were searching for ways the teams have cheated to create extra down force.

Sponsor Blues: Busch series teams are still struggling to garner primary series sponsorships. Ashton Lewis, Jr.'s team is desperately searching for any kind of advertising to help support the three-year old race operation.

Lewis' team so far has received no assistance from NASCAR in helping find primary sponsorship for his car.

McMurray surprises at Sonoma: Jamie McMurray, who has only, ran a handful of NASCAR road course events, surprised competitors by clipping off the fastest time during Sonoma testing. McMurray has no prior road course experience, but managed to hit the set-up and post a lap of 1 minute, 15.0 seconds; which is the fastest recorded lap on the newly paved 1.99-mile road course.

Hmeil back in at Fontana: Driver Shane Hmeil who was suspended last season for drug use by NASCAR, makes his first appearance in the Busch series after being cleared to race again this year. Hmeil will run the Mike Harmon owned No. 24 Chevrolet.

Rookies quick at Cali: Brian Vickers paced the field in practice for the Nextel Cup teams with a lap of 185.242 mph. Fellow rookie of the year candidate Kasey Kahne posted the second quickest lap of 185.147 mph.
