Yates secures sponsor: Robert Yates Racing will keep the No. 88 Ford Fusion operational next season. Yates confirmed Friday that he has secured sponsorship for the No. 88 car which is being vacated by driver Dale Jarrett and sponsor, UPS.

"The way I'll sum it up is it's been a wonder for months and it's now full and it's wonderful. We've got sponsorship for both cars - the 38 and 88, and the 90 car. All the scenarios, I can push those away now and concentrate and focus on winning races. Things are wonderful," stated Yates.

Yates will continue to field two Cup cars and one Busch car.

"To sum it up, we have sponsorship for both cars, the Nos. 38 and 88. All the scenarios, we can push away now and concentrate and focus on winning races," Yates said. "Everything is wonderful."

While Yates declined to say who the sponsor will be, team sources confirmed that Mars Incorporated, which sponsors the No. 38 Ford would take over the 88 sponsorship; promoting one of their other candy brands.

Montoya to make Cup debut: Juan Pablo Montoya will race the No. 30 Havoline Dodge for Chip Ganassi Racing this weekend at Homestead Miami Speedway. Montoya is signed to take over the No. 42 Dodge next season. This is his first attempt at making the field for a Nextel Cup event.

Practice wrecks: Kyle Busch and Dale Jarrett both wrecked during initial practice for Cup teams at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Busch's team was hammering out the damage to the No. 5 Hendrick Chevy; Jarrett will go to a back up car.

Kenseth in better mood this weekend: Matt Kenseth was all doom and gloom last weekend at Phoenix International Raceway.

"I feel pretty good about it," said Kenseth. "I have been all doom and gloom the last couple of weeks about the way we have been running, but sometimes things work in cycles and I think we are due for a good run."

Kenseth trails leader Jimmie Johnson by 63 points.

Martin not sad about last start in the 6 car: Mark Martin may not be retiring after all but this weekend will mark his last start in the No. 6 Ford at Roush Racing. Next season he will run a part time schedule at MB2 Motorsports.

"Just because I stayed in the 6 car for 19 years, doesn't mean it isn't time to move on," said Martin.
