'Chex Party Mix, this team ready for a party'

This weekend, Jeff Green and the #43 Cheerios/Betty Crocker Dodge team head to the 1.5-mile Homestead-Miami (Fla.) Speedway for Sunday's Homestead-Miami 400. Green will be driving a #43 Chex Party Mix Dodge for this season-ending event. His best finish at Homestead is ninth in his four races at the track.

Green is the only driver to have raced for the sport's biggest names. Throughout his career, he has driven for Cup's most legendary names, such as Junior Johnson, Felix Sabates, Richard Childress, Dale Earnhardt, and now Richard Petty. Green is in his second full season driving the legendary Petty Enterprises #43 Cheerios/Betty Crocker Dodge. The 2000 NASCAR Busch Grand National champion, he holds the record for the largest point's margin after winning the championship by 616 points. He is also a two-time NASCAR Nextel Cup pole winner, winning poles at the Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway and the pole for the 2003 Daytona 500.

The thoughts of #43 Cheerios/Betty Crocker Dodge driver Jeff Green heading into Homestead:

"It's going to be pretty cool to have Chex Party Mix on the side of our car this weekend. We know for sure that someone will be having a big party at the end this race. We'll have a series champion, and I'm sure they'll be doing some serious partying. Hey, we'll have the Chex Party Mix ready for them. Hopefully we can share it with them in victory lane. We're looking for a good run.

"We have had some good runs with this '43' team this
season, but we didn't have all the results we hoped for. I want to end
this season on a high note. I think that's the best compliment I can
give these guys for working so hard. They never gave up and that really
means a lot. Hopefully we can get a good finish on Sunday.
"It's going to be a tough race. There is so much on the
line with the championship. We're going to see some really hard
racing. There will be two or three guys who will be driving for the
championship. They have a ton at stake and I'm sure that they will do
everything they can to win. I know that there are going to be about 40
other guys trying to win too. It's going to be a great race.

"We're going to Homestead to win. We aren't going for the championship, but that doesn't mean we have to let one of those guys win the race. Victory lane isn't reserved for two or three guys. It's open to the best team that day. We're going to do everything we can to be that team.

"I think it's cool to play a spoiler. Sure, the champion will get all his recognition, and well he should, but to be a spoiler and win at Homestead might be cool too. Still, it's going to be tough. I'm sure the championship contenders will bring their very best. The rest of us will bring our best too.

"Everyone wants to have a good end to their season. It's a long season, everyone works hard, and you want to end with a smile. I appreciate the guys on my team. I know their sacrifices and that's pretty special. You bond with your team throughout the season, and a good run is a great way to say 'thanks' for all they have given.

"I'm ready to get to Homestead and give it my best. I leave the house prepared to win. I want to win and expect to win. We'll do what we need to do to be ready. This Chex Party Mix Dodge has had some bad luck at Homestead. We've blown some motors in this race, but we haven't had problems like that this season. Hopefully we'll stay clear of problems and finally get this Chex Party Mix Dodge a finish it, and this team, deserve. "
