Long-time team sponsor aligns with No. 47 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series team and driver Marcos Ambrose

DALLAS, TX, Aug. 21 -- Kimberly-Clark announced today a partnership with JTG Daugherty Racing for the 2010 season, making it a sponsor of the No. 47 Toyota Camry NASCAR Sprint Cup Series car driven by Marcos Ambrose.

The partnership will commence with the Daytona 500 in February and mark the 16th season Kimberly-Clark has been active in NASCAR.

"We recognized the value our motorsports program has been for our customers for more than 15 seasons," said Don Quigley, president of North America consumer sales and customer development for Kimberly-Clark. "This partnership provides an opportunity for our family of brands to be involved in racing at the elite Sprint Cup Series level, the most popular motorsports series in North America."

As sponsor, Kimberly-Clark brands will be present on the No. 47 for the entire 2010 season, serving as the primary sponsor on paint schemes for five races, including Daytona.

"The business model that Tad and his organization have put together creates an ideal partnership for Kimberly-Clark and, most of all, our retail partners we work with on the motorsports program," Quigley said. "The race team is clearly focused on delivering results for its sponsor partners both on the race track and at retail."

JTG Daugherty Racing, a sponsor-focused race team, is in its first season of running in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series after campaigning in the NASCAR Nationwide Series since 1995. The team, which is comprised of co-owners Tad and Jodi Geschickter and Brad Daugherty, expects to field cars in both series again in 2010.

"We're pleased to have Kimberly-Clark decide to partner with our team for 2010," Tad Geschickter said. "I've watched their level of commitment in the sport for a number of years and it is an honor to partner with them as they enter the Sprint Cup Series."

By partnering with JTG Daugherty Racing, Kimberly-Clark also aligns itself with the Australian-born Ambrose, who amidst his first full season of Sprint Cup competition has compiled an impressive record. Ambrose rests comfortably among the top 20 in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver standings with six top-10 finishes through 23 races.

"The brands that make up Kimberly-Clark are already found everywhere in our house," Ambrose noted. "Everything from Kleenex brand facial tissue to Scott brand paper towels and even Cottonelle brand bath tissue. I'm very fortunate that the brands that show up on my race car each week are products that my family uses on a regular basis."

The move to the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series brings to end one of the longest-standing team/sponsor relationships in the Nationwide Series.

"Kimberly-Clark has partnered with Baker Curb Racing and that organization for a long time," Quigley said. "We certainly wish that team the best of luck and expect it to continue finding success. We also hope nothing but the best for Jason Keller in his endeavors both on and off the track. As we graduate up, we will certainly remain fans of the Nationwide Series."
