"The new shock rule is a good change. It is going to make the entire two weeks at Daytona much easier on everyone, especially the drivers. The difference in how the "M&M's" Pontiac Grand Prix rides is pretty significant. Also, this change is across the board, so it pretty much puts everyone on the same playing field this weekend as far as shocks go. It allows us a little more time to focus on aerodynamics and engine power because the shocks are one less thing we have to contend with."

Schrader competed in his first full season of Winston Cup racing in 1985 and he's made the field for every race since. His 15-year starting streak equals 453 consecutive starts.

* Schrader, who has 23 career pole positions to his credit, makes his ninth start in the Bud Shootout on February 13. Schrader earned a spot in the all-star event by winning the pole position at Talladega Superspeedway in October of 1999. In his previous eight starts, Schrader has six top fives including a second-place effort in 1999.

* Schrader has two Bud Shootout victories (formerly the Busch Clash) in his career. Schrader took the checkered flag in 1989 and 1990. The "M&M's" driver also has two wins in the Gatorade Twin 125-mile qualifying races (1987, 1989).
