Matt Kenseth's thoughts on California:
"We came in third last year because we changed four tires instead of two. I
don't regret the decision to take four tires. It worked best for us all day
and it was what was best for the car. Overall, being out front like that in
our rookie year and having awesome pit stops under the green gave us
confidence that we belong competing in Winston Cup. I mean, we were beating
championship caliber teams out of the pits. That momentum we gained in
California created a streak of good runs, and then finally the win at Lowe's
Motor Speedway last May. It just showed what we were capable of."
"I don't think the track owes us one. Performance wise-this is my best track. I've had tremendous success there and if there is any track that I'd like to score Winston Cup win number two =E2=80=93 it would be California Motor Spee dway. This DEWALT team has struggled a little this year due to circumstances beyon d our control, so a good run at California will help us a lot.
Crew Chief Robbie Reiser's thoughts on California:
"We ran pretty well here in the past. Matt is awesome at this track. I think
we might have a chance for a win this weekend. We are taking car 15, a brand
new car so hopefully we'll get out front fast, lead some laps and be there at
the end."
