Kevin Lepage, driver of the No. 4 Kodak MAX Film Monte Carlo, turned in a speed of 168.11 during the one lap qualifying runs on Friday at Pocono. His best start at the 2.5 mile track is 18th.

Lepage completed 99.7% of the laps he had run in the six races prior to Sunday's Pennsylvania 500.

The Morgan-McClure Motorsports team made adjustments to the car to get it handling better. The team had gone down two laps to the leader, but regained one lap when a caution flag waved on lap 142. When the race restarted on lap 147, the No. 4 Chevrolet was 28th, a position to gain six or seven spots.

A wreck on lap 148 took Lepage out of contention and into the infield care center. Although he took some hard hits during a spin on the front stretch with the No. 88, 22 and 99, he was released without injury. Scott Eggleston, crew chief, and the team, were repairing the KODAK MAX Film Monte Carlo when a they found a broken frame. The car was loaded and the team will move on to the next race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Sunday.

Lepage has competed in Winston Cup twice at Indy. In 1999, he started the race in 43rd and finished 30th. In 2000, he began in 40th place and completed 158 laps to finish in 36th.
