No. 12 Penske Dodge Charger News and Notes

* This Week's Charger... The No. 12 Penske Dodge team will race chassis PRS-558 during Sunday's NASCAR Cup Series event at the "Magic Mile." PRS-558 last saw action in the NASCAR All-Star Shootout in May. The No.12 Penske Dodge Charger sat on the pole and Stremme led 26 laps on his way to a third-place Shootout finish.

* Tested and Approved... Stremme and the No.12 Penske Dodge team participated in a Goodyear tire test at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in preparation for Sunday's 300-mile event. The team tested throughout the day on April 8 at the one-mile track in Loudon, New Hampshire

* Welcome Home... Both Rick Johnson and George Larabee, transporter drivers for the No.12 Penske Dodge Charger, are looking forward to the race in New Hampshire this weekend. Both team members were born and raised in New Hampshire and still have family ties to the state.

* 12 Car History... The No.12 Penske Dodge has a rich history at the "Magic Mile." In 14 starts at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, the team has captured two wins, five top-five and nine top-10 finishes to go along with four pole positions. The team has finished inside the top-10 in 64.2% of its races at the venue.

David Stremme on driving at New Hampshire Motor Speedway

"I really enjoy going to New Hampshire [Motor Speedway]. It is a great track with some of the greatest race fans in the country. There are multiple grooves on entry which give me a number of options on how to get the car set in the corners. I have been looking forward to going to New Hampshire [Motor Speedway] since we participated in the Goodyear tire test there in April. This will be the first track I have been to this year in the COT where I have run laps before competing in the race weekend. We have notes we can go off of which gives us an advantage."

Crew chief Roy McCauley on racing at New Hampshire Motor Speedway

"Track position is the key to success in Loudon. This will be NASCAR's first test on the double-file restarts at a short track. It is going to change the face of the race. Historically, the inside line has been a 'pick' for the lead lap cars. Now the leaders are going to line up side-by-side which will be exciting for the fans. We tested New Hampshire [Motor Speedway] in April for Goodyear which gives us a baseline for this weekend. It was 20 degrees colder then, but it gave David [Stremme] some track time and gave us a general idea of what we need for the race."
