Rain Cancels Qualifying for Race One of the Chase; Six Team Chevy Drivers to Start in Top-12 of Sylvania 300 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway

Loudon, NH - The six Team Chevy drivers qualified for the Chase to the Sprint Cup will start in their seeded positions in the standings as rain washed out qualifying at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. The field for Sunday's Sylvania 300 will be set by the provisions set forth in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series rule book.

Jimmie Johnson, No. 48 Lowe's Impala SS, will start third followed by his Hendrick Motorsports teammate, Dale Earnhardt, Jr., No. 88 AMP Energy/National Guard Impala SS, in the fourth starting position.

Clint Bowyer, No. 07 Jack Daniel's Impala SS, will roll off fifth for the 300-lap/317.4-mile race.

Jeff Burton, No. 31 AT&T Impala SS, is in the seventh starting position. Jeff Gordon, No. 24 DuPont Impala SS, and Kevin Harvick, No. 29 Shell-Pennzoil Impala SS, will start 10th and 11th respectively.

A total of 14 Impala SS drivers will take the green flag Sunday afternoon.

Kyle Busch will start on the pole with Carl Edwards completing the front row.

The Sylvania 300 is scheduled to start at 2:00 p.m. EDT with live coverage on ABC TV, PRN Radio and Sirius Satellite Radio.
