Team Cingular Quotes:

R. Gordon on racing at New Hampshire International Speedway:

"Earlier this year, we had a pretty frustrating time at New Hampshire. We just couldn't find a happy balance with the No. 31 Cingular Wireless Chevrolet the entire weekend. It was loose, then tight, then loose again. I felt like I was a pogo stick. I don't know how we missed the mark, but we did. I've won there before, too, but the track has changed a lot since that 2001 win. With all things considered, we still managed to position ourselves to be the Lucky Dog and get back on the lead lap and finish inside the top 25.

"We're taking a different car back to New Hampshire. It is the same car we ran in a few races earlier this year. It was a real strong car in California, we just didn't give it enough fuel there at the end of the May race, and then I didn't give it enough room at the beginning of the June race at Michigan. I underestimated how much room I had to move up high on the race track at the beginning of the race and spun around and made some minor contact with the other cars. That really interrupted the momentum we had going into that day. It was very disheartening because we had such a good qualifying effort, I believe we started sixth there in June, so it was very frustrating for me to do what I did right off the bat like that. I would say three out of the four times we've raced that car so far this year, it's been a great car. Maybe the fifth time will be the charm for us this weekend."
