No. 12 Penske Dodge Charger News and Notes

* This Week's Charger... The No. 12 Penske Dodge team will race chassis PRS-595 during Sunday's 400-mile event at Michigan International Speedway. PRS-595 was raced three weeks ago in the rain-shortened Coca-Cola 600 at Lowe's Motor Speedway, where Stremme crossed the finish line in the 22nd spot. The car also saw action at Atlanta Motor Speedway in early March when Stremme finished in 23rd place.

* Motoring Around Michigan... Driver David Stremme has an average starting spot of 26.5 and an average finish of 27.0 at the two-mile speedway located in Michigan's Irish Hills. The 31-year-old Stremme has completed all but 18 laps he's been scheduled to run at the Michigan track.

* Home Sweet Home... Penske Racing considers Michigan International Speedway its "home track." Penske Corporation and team owner Roger Penske both call Michigan home.

* Hometown Boy... No.12 Penske Dodge race engineer, Brian Wilson, was born in raised in Detroit, Mich. Wilson has been with Penske Racing since the start of the 2004 season. The 29-year-old still has family in Jackson, Mich., located near Michigan International Speedway.

* Come and See Me... Stremme will be signing autographs at the Penske Racing souvenir trailer on Sunday, June 14th at 10:50 a.m. The souvenir trailer is located behind the frontstretch grandstands in the display area.

David Stremme on driving at Michigan International Speedway

"Michigan International Speedway is awesome. As a driver, you can search the race track for different lines. If your car does not run well on the bottom, you can move to the middle or the top. Michigan is also special to the Penske Racing family. Penske Corporation is in Detroit, and we consider this our home track. It is also home to the "Big Three." We always want to run well so we have bragging rights for Dodge. We know we are bringing a great car to the track and are focusing on getting to the end. We have had terrible luck this season, and know how important it is to be there at the finish."

Crew chief Roy McCauley on racing at Michigan International Speedway

"Michigan is a great race track. You can move around all day long. We are always running two- and three-wide into the corners, which is great for the fans. It is a long race and track position is one of the keys to success. You need to keep the car up front all day. It is even more important now with the double-file restarts."
